Thank you to everyone who came out and supported
Jeannie.  Special thank you to Jennifer Bruustar for
inviting us to this event, and for all of your hard work.
The evening was a huge success and raised lots of
money for Brain Cancer.  Thank you to everyone at
the Tug Mcgraw Foundation, ESM Production and all
of the volunteers.  The caregviers and warriors are
deeply appreciative of your time and devotion to
finding a cure.

Special thank you to Chris Hof, who helped get
Jeannie's music heard.  You are incredibly generous.

    Tug McGraw Foundation Celebrity Gala
    November 3, 2006
Crystal Tea Room - Philadelphia, PA
The Tug McGraw Foundation
Gala in Philly was a magical
evening.   Jeannie was
spectacular, performing her
song
All In For A Cure, for a
crowd of celebrities, survivors,
caregivers, family and friends.
Jeannie's energy was electric that night. She looked stunning and when she sang the room was a buzz ....who is this
amazing woman.  When she finished her original song "All in for a Cure" the crowd went crazy.

After the crowd settled down, Bob Costas joined her on stage and told them Jeannie's survivor story.  The crowd
erupted again, it was quite a moment...especially for us Jeannie-loyals in the back of the room.

Jeannie & I met so many fellow warriors and their families.  We were able to tell the Urhmachers that we love the pink
clouds Hannah is painting.  We met the Wilkins and heard the story of their son "The boy of steel". They were so kind to
give us the book about their son.  We shared sushi with Denis & Judy Mcdowell.  What a positive spirit this couple
have.  I finally was able to meet Gail and Rob Mullin from Be Head Strong in Kansas City.  She immediately became my
    new best friend ...

Jeannie was approached for autographs and pictures and lots of hugs.  She was congratulated by football greats,
baseball legends and even "the apprentice".  Oh, and of course Tim McGraw & Faith Hill who told her that they loved
her song and that she sounded beautiful.

We can't forget Kelly "the apprentice" Purdew and Cassie who were so fun to hang out with and Alesha Walker who is
just a little ray of sunshine and hope.

Mathew Zachary, fellow warrior, was amazing on the piano and became fast freinds with the Kauffman family.

We were so lucky to have been joined for this star studded evening by our own celebrities, our family and friends.
Jeannie's parents Maryann & Dave and her sister Mindy traveled from Texas to be with us. Jeannie's sister Lisa came
from Boston via Amtrak to join in the party.  Jeannie's Uncle Chris and Aunt Judy came with their family;  Chevy,
Jonathon, Michael, Christian, Ann Marie, Dominic, Addie, Skylar & Rita from New Jersey.  They were joined by Aunt Patty
and cousin Lori...true Jersey girls...love the accents!!!

Jeannie's Uncle Bob & Aunt Mickey came with their daughter Michele.

Our caregiver friends Cindy, Kristina, Laura & Bev flew from California with us.

Our friends Deb Testa, Kerry & Jeanne Hogan came from Connecticut.

And our friend Linda Hubbard Brody came from North Carolina.

We were also joined by some who could not make the show...but came to celebrate with us in Philly.  Krissy and Mar
from CT!!  Terri and Kaz from New York!!  And of course...Glenn Brody from NC...so glad we finally got to meet you!!

When Jeannie was going in for her surgery last year,
she ran up the steps of Long Beach Memorial Hospital
humming the tune to Rocky !!! While we were in Philly
we thought it would be great for Jeannie to run up
Rocky's original steps at the Art Museum.  We
attempted to go on Saturday but our schedule changed
and so we ended up going on Sunday.  Jeannie got her
picture taken with Sly's statue and then made her way
up the steps humming away.
SEE VIDEO HERE.  On her
way down the steps we noticed a group of 15 or so who
were wearing medals around their necks.  Being the
curious bunch we asked them what the event was for.
"Brain Tumor Research" !!!  What are the odds ....
The Brad Kaminsky Foundations 5k run/wlk for brain
cancer research was in Philly that morning and we just
happened to bump into one of the teams.
Thank you to the Gill Family for sharing your story with
us ...we are so grateful that you were involved in the
Walk for Hope and that we were able to meet you.
Jeannie loves her bright orange "GBM Buster" hat!!!
